Nice Ending to a Crazy Week

So today started relatively calm considering the crazy week I have had. I leisurely strolled in for my shift at 12:00 and then all ##@@$$%% broke loose! Shipments, customers, phone calls and well, payroll! Here it is 6:10 and I'm still here but you know, "I just have a few more things to do"!

Anyway - new stuff - we received 2 new lines of Studio Calico (love it even more than the last line)! Also a brand new line for us - Donna Salazer. Absolutely excellent papers and you have to check out the "Crafty Chronicle" and the packs of corrugated cardboard. Lastly, a whole lot of fun with Robin's Nest (not me). Fabulous animal/zoo type glitter papers in "not your usual colors". Also, a TON of dewdrops in tear shapes and diamond shapes.

For those of you who completely missed the Prima (I have never seen a line disappear so fast) I will re-order!! There has to be some trade off for Lori being in Hawaii - she missed out!!

Have a great weekend everyone and watch the blog next week for more (I know for a fact there are at least 2 fabulous things coming)!! Pop in on Tuesday and ask Lori to show you here tan lines.

A Nice Gift

Okay, so I'm having kind of a lousy day. Lori is basking on the beach in Hawaii and I "popped in" to the store this morning at 9:05 to deal with a few items that are hard to do during open hours. My shift didn't officially start until 4:00 p.m. yet I have not left. In fact, since I didn't expect to be here anyone that comes in today gets a viewing of me in my super attractive sweat pants (Lori would be mortified)! Anyway, we received a VERY lovely box today. PRIMA is here and on the shelves! Also, a bit of My Minds Eye.

I also have taken the opportunity to move things around in the store so sorry Deb!
So it turned out to be quite an awesome day in the end (I have a bag full of beautiful goodies to take home).

See you soon,
Robin

Tidy, Tidy, All the Time Tidy!

Okay, when I saw this booth at CHA the "Felix" in me totally cringed! I couldn't even walk in (not that anything appealed to me). Anyway, Lori and I (and our fabulous assistant PG) have been doing inventory and it is going quite well. I have been in a "tidy as you go" mode and have been busy purging old lines to make room for new ones that we have never carried before (sorry, you have to wait til they get here)! So on that note....as of yesterday our sale section (50% off) contains: all Doodlebug velvet papers and braddies, all Graphic 45, all Harmonie and all Nicki Sivilas. Get it while it's hot 'cause it won't be coming back!!

Have a great day and GO CANADA!!

Just an update on new product

Hey Bloggerettes,

I was reading "Tim's" blog tonight and found out when his new product is shipping.
I copied this from his blog for your viewing pleasure. Remember, this is United States dates so we'll be a bit behind that.

"when is all the new cha stuff shipping?"-
well that's a hard question to answer with one specific date, but here's what i do know...
*new distress inks have already been shipping from ranger - woo hoo!
*new stamps from stampers anonymous have already been shipping - awesome!
*new idea-ology started shipping monday 2/15 and more to ship at the beginning of march - so far so good!
*new alterations from sizzix will be shipping by the end of this month and through april - i had some last minute art changes to a few things so most will be shipping now, but some won't be until later (you know how us creative types are!)

We got in some of the new "7 Gypsies" paper line Avignon today along with some other product. Check out the picture of Paula Cheney, a "7 Gypsies" designer/teacher modelling the Olympic mittens that we gave her at CHA. She is too cute!

I had a really bad day today but after a "Tim Horton's" treat, a class with Lynn and cajoling with my classmates I felt much better when I got home. Thanks guys.

It's Heeeere!!

Got our first shipment today from CHA - Teresa Collins - FOUR STUNNING LINES! Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Mr. & Mrs. and Welcome Home. All lines have double sided papers (which are to die for), album covers, ribbons, chipboard, card & envelope sets, transparencies and stamps. My "take home" pile is huge ('cause you know I don't own any paper at all)!!!

I LOVE it all and I know you will too!

It Ain't Over!!

So I have posted a photo of Lori jumping with glee that she wasn't going to teach anymore Patchwork classes. I'm thinking she should now move on to the "coat classes". I think it would work like this: for a small size coat the cost of the class would be $500.00 for a member, $1,000.00 for non-members. For each size increment the cost would increase by $100.00. Any takers???!!! Too funny! Who would actually wear this thing? (unless of course you were the ultimate Tim Holtz groupie).

Anyway, I also wanted to let you all know that we are starting something new at the Yard. One Saturday every month we will be hosting a "buffet" of sorts. You bring your photos, adhesive and tools and we will provide page maps and a fabulous buffet of product to use to create as many layouts as you can in 4 hours. The cost is $19.99 for members and $39.99 for non-members and you will enjoy a 10% discount in the store as well. The person who creates the most layouts by the end of the evening will take home a fabulous prize!

Our 1st "buffet" will be the CHA Buffet - we brought home tons of schwag from the show and want to share. It will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and I (Robin) will be your gracious hostess! Pre-registration is absolutely necessary 'cause we have a limited number of spots available. Hope to see you there.

That's all for today but continue to watch the blog for new product arriving.

Our Beavers Are Compromised!!!

Hey Bloggerettes,

OMG, we received our Fedex package that we shipped back with catalogues, schwag and our beaver costumes from CHA (Anaheim) and when we opened it 2 heads and one beaver tail was missing! I'll bet someone in Disneyland is walking around impersonating a Canadian beaver as we speak! Robin had the pleasure of reporting it to Fedex and had to actually say that she lost her beaver. I bet they don't hear that every day.

We would like to thank everyone who shopped this past weekend at our store. What a great weekend we had. Record breaking sales! We now have room for new product that should start arriving in the next week or so. There will be a steady stream of new stuff until at least July. Thank goodness it doesn't all come at once - it will be stagger shipped. We want to surprise you with what we bought at CHA. Can you hardly wait??????
