Thunder rolls.....................

Hey Bloggerettes,

Yet another thunder storm is predicted tonight. The torrential rain storm earlier in the week was very damaging. When I was driving home after work there must have been 15 trees along Canyon Meadows Drive toppled over (I think they were Walmart trees)!!

An order from Creative Imaginations came in today. A new product called 'Radiant Rain" - a glimmer spray in fabulous, vibrant colors. Banana Leaf paper, in several unique colors, is on the shelf. Some summer die-cut papers also came in.

The class calendar for August is posted.

Everyone should do their Civic Duty and visit The Scrap Yard this weekend (Friday and Saturday) to take advantage of the 25% OFF SALE.

When you are out shopping for your new fall wardrobe remember the Fall 2010 colors that are shown above. These colors will also be prominent in the scrapbooking world for fall so you can be "matchy-matchy.

CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Summer 2010

Hey Bloggerettes,

This week marks the new fall/winter scrapbook product launch at CHA in Chicago. I have been searching the web for the newest and greatest products. There are some interesting things like:

  • Provo Craft's newest machine called the "Cricut Imagine" (it prints and cuts)
  • Tim Holtz's "Vagabond" that cuts and embosses his Sizzix products, new rubber stamps, new baubles, trimmings, facets, new Ideaology products, new Shadow Boxes etc......
  • Webster's Pages new Christmas collections
  • Graphic 45 goes Steampunk and ephemera
  • 7 Gypsies newest Printer Trays and ephemera

Is there anything out there that you have seen and must have? The "Wishlist" binder already has a few pages in it!

In My Humble Opinion

For those who are interested, my mom has started to venture out of the house a wee bit. I am so happy that she is making the effort to return to her normal life. My brother is out of the hospital and recovering at home now. He thought that maybe I could help with removing his stitches but I didn't think so. I fashion myself the "Un-nurse".

5-a-Lous

Hey Bloggerettes,

The pictures are sneak peeks of Susan's up-coming classes next week. On the calendar the class is called "5-a-Lous". She uses 5 products from a collection and creates 2 single page layouts with the products. These layouts feature Pink Paislee's "Queen Bee" products.
I talked to Lynn today - no baby as of this afternoon.

Basic Grey

Hey Bloggerettes,

Finally UPS got it together. The last box was delivered today so all of the Basic Grey collections of "Oliver" and "Olivia" are here. Both collections are double sided. There are some new embellishments (as if there weren't enough already).
Enjoy!

Hail-a-lu-ya!

Hey Bloggerettes,

Are you tired of the torrential downpours?
(tor·ren·tial/tôˈrenCHəl/Adjective
1. (of rain) Falling rapidly and in copious quantities.
2. (of water) Flowing rapidly and with force)
Are you glad you're not a cowboy?

Things have been busy at "the Yard". The GARDEN BOOK class was last night - stress the NIGHT - the class wrapped up at about 10:45 p.m. - WHY, WHY, WHY do I make such elaborate projects? The girls loved the many techniques and multitude of exclusive product (from my personal stash).

Some orders have arrived in the past few days.

  • Graphic 45 "Wonderland" - it is amazing I must say

  • "Wreck This Journal" book (4 copies only)

  • Making Memories "Panorama" travel collection

  • Little Yellow Bicycle "Boardwalk" - just a small sampling

  • Melissa Frances newest release called "Kitschy Kitchen" - very retro - some other vintage embellishments came with this order too.

I hope you have been following Tim Holtz blog. He is posting pictures of his newest product that is scheduled to be released at the Summer CHA trade show in Chicago at the end of the month. I love the newest paper stack and matching sticker set.

In My Humble Opinion:

I have been up at the hospital quite a lot lately. My brother had another surgery and is struggling to get through it. The weirdest thing is that he is in exactly the same hospital room as he was before so it brings back a lot of memories.

Hello Sunshine!

Hey Bloggerettes,

New, new new....................

Little Yellow Bicycle "Pack Your Bags" collection. I think you should buy the entire collection, pack your bags with co-ordinating colored clothing, go on a trip that suits the paper, come back and scrapbook it because it will be a "no-brainer".

My Mind's Eye "So Sophie" and some "Meadowlark Dawn". I love the quality of this paper. Both collections are double sided and a bit vintage.

7 Gypsies Letterblock Trays (black), Printer Trays (white), Avignon clear stamps and 4" elastics (like to ones used in the signature binding 3D House album)

Moxxie "Tee Ball" double sided papers (2 kinds)

Provo Craft Cuttlebug 5x7 Embossing Plus (cut & emboss) Monogram Seals, Vintage Collage and Postage Alphabet
