Charm Exchange at Retreat

Hey Bloggerettes,

Just a reminder that we will be doing a charm exchange at the retreat again. I observed the charm exchange at the Teresa Collins Event in September and I figured out how it works. You will handover all of your charms to me and I do the exchanging and give you back as many as you made. I saw one lady wore them on a link necklace - it was aboiut 500 pounds! How charming.

Met a ton of new scrapbookers at the Okotoks Scrapbook Convention on Saturday. They did very well for the "Rowan House" fund raiser. It was a pleasure to be part of such a heartfelt event. Thanks to Shannon and Annalisa for inviting me to participate. Scrapbookers from towns south of Calgary have been introduced to the "The Scrap Yard" - YEAH! Thanks to Lynn Thune for teaching and donating her valuable time to such a worthwhile cause. You're the best! Take a breath now!

"The Scrap Yard" would like to welcome a new teacher. Erika Taylor has offered to share her talents by teaching some cardmaking classes. Here is the scoop on Erika:

Hi Everyone, I'm Erika Taylor and I'm over the moon to be working with The Scrap Yard. I've got a smokin husband named Mark, who is my biggest supporter and fan and we have two zany and wild children. One precious and precocious little girl and a young boy who is full of ideas, and creativity. I've been paper crafting since September of 2008, but you could always find me with scissors, glue, crayons and construction paper when I was a little girl. I've got a big personality and love to make people giggle, either with me or at me. I'm a bit of a magpie and gravitate to sparkle and shine.

I have been so blessed to be a part of many different design teams. Currently I am on the Tattered Angels, Nikki Sivils, Basically Bare, Helmar, Scrapping Cottage, I Brake for Stamps and Paper Temptress teams. Creatively, I love trying new things and revel in new techniques, tools and supplies. I am very eclectic in my style and sometimes look from one project to the next and think "Did I make both of those? Inspiration comes from so many venues and I'm tickled pink that I get to share my creative journey with all of you.
Come on by my blog at http://taylordconcepts.blogspot.com and take a look. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and leave some love.

Welcome Erika :)
