The best box ever!!!

Robin and I were in ecstasy opening the 3 huge boxes that were delivered from Prima Marketing. They have outdone themselves with beautiful, high-end product. Our store will look like "spring" when we get all of the "flora & fauna" (a phrase I like to use) displayed. Amy actually drooled when she came in - she tried to blame it on the candy in her mouth!!!

These are some of the products you'll see:

-Paper Collections (Flirty Little Secret, Signs of Spring, Mommy & Me, Life in Colors)
-matching glitter transparencies and flocked transparencies
-stitched mulberry paper in beautiful colors 12x12
-"Artful Cardboard" in 12x12 that match some of the lines
-pebbles to match the spring paper lines
-botanical paper (cut out your own flowers and trims)
-floral burlap sheets
-ephemera (galaxy stars, Say It In Pearls, Say It In Studs, tins of artistry flowers, crystal swirl corners, vines, alpha sticker with matching chipboard letters in same package)
-fluttering butterflies (Each butterfly is made of the highest quality soft plastic mixed with wire, glitter, pearl-like embellishments, rhinestones, leaves, and beads. 2 pieces per package. Approximately 1.5” x 2”)

Donna Downey canvas products are being released through Prima at a later date so we will look forward to another great box of product to arrive,

Apparently our motto when placing this order was "GO BIG OR STAY HOME"!!!

We also received prodct from Fancy Pants, Paper House, Scrap Your Trip, and 7 Gypsies.

The 7 Gypsies Class on Sunday was well received. I think everyone loved their journal and appreciated how much work goes into something so fabulous. Thanks for hanging in all day! Next time we'll have a nutrition break and maybe a "side-show"!!! ha, ha, ha.

Oops, I made a folks pass (faux pas)!

Hey Bloggerettes,

When I dug deep into the Basic Grey boxes I found that it was "Porcelain" not "Wisteria" that we received yesterday. My apologies.

"7 Gypsies" newest stuff is in. Maureen went ga-ga over it. It came just in time for my big 7 Gypsies album class on Sunday. Thank goodness I don't have to wear all my gypsy garb for the class like I did in Huntington Beach - it slows me down. These are a few shots of the album we'll be making.

"Jenni Bowlin" product is here. The line is called "Farmers Wife". Pretty darn cute. She came out with some new embellishments too. Very vintage like.

Random thought: Did you know that the barrels of the Copic, Sketch and Wide markers are flat/square so they won't roll off the table/desk. Cool eh!

Whoo hoooo!!

Hey Bloggerettes,

The 2 newest releases from Basic Grey,"Wisteria" and "Marrakech", arrived today - there are a ton of boxes so I hope we can get it all into our INVENTORY (sorry, was that my outside voice) and out on the shelves in the next few days - it's always fun to snoop at the new stuff stacked up in the back should you happen to be in and want a sneak peak.

The website for Basic Grey is:
www.basicgrey.com
They have an amazing gallery to look at and "scraplift" from.

What's new at this week.........

Hey Bloggerettes,

Just want to let you know what stuff we received this week:

-Creative Imaginations "Creative Cafe" NOTE tags in 3 colors and a bunch of metal brads with jewels and stuff - right up my alley

-Cosmo Cricket line called "Snorkel" - very cute and "Spinner Cards"!! Can't wait to see what Amy does with them!

-a lot of cruise stuff from Moxxie as well as cardstock stickers for baseball, lacrosse, basketball & zoo

-graduation papers and embellishments from different companies

-Karen Foster "sparkly brads"

-every color of Tim Holtz (my boyfriend) Distress Embossing Powders, several Re-inkers for Distress Ink Pads, Fragments (3 kinds), Keyholes, Keys, Trinket Pins, several pairs of Tonic Scissors (we haven't been able to keep them in stock since before Christmas - that's how great they are), Paper Distressers (also fab)

-Fiskars new "Finger-Tip Control Swivel Knife" - we've been waiting a long time for them to come in - they work great for covering the custom order word books!!!

SIDEBAR: Hey, when people copy our stuff, it's the biggest form of flattery!!!

Thanks JP for making the rent payment today - we know we can always count on you. (FYI: The workshop Marshall was absent today so she went wild!!! :)

Our thoughts are with you NSSP - I feel your pain.

Customer Service Bulletin

One of our customers mentioned today that she has lost her green "Pull Ez" FULL OF RIBBON. It may have been left at a crop in the past few weeks. You know how much she would appreciate being reunited with it! If you know of it's whereabouts, please call the store 403-271-2225
Thanks

The hardest part of a blog is the Title...........

Hey Bloggerettes,

Graphic 45 2 new lines are in the store. It is very cool - Lynn you will love it. Remember to look at both sides. The Travelista line ships March 1. FYI: Deanna was the first customer to get her hands on it.

I went a bit wild ordering fancy metal brads from Creative Imaginations (they arrived yesterday). But everyone knows that "Lori loves Brad". We made a new area for the brads. The tools are on the old brad wall so you know I will have to add to my quote on the wall..... think about it.

All of the new Teresa Collins lines are in. Brittany and Amy just about didn't make it to the "little girls room" on time when they snooped in the boxes. What more do I have to say. I received my latest copy of CK magazine today - low and behold on the cover is a mini album done with her latest product.

Industry gossip:
-Ali Edwards had a baby girl this morning at 9:14. - Anna Caroline
-My boyfriend Tim Holtz is in Amsterdam. His latest blog was interesting - it said "i also wanted to announce that BIG things are going to be happening on my blog starting march 1st - don't miss it....talk soon - t!m"

Taking inventory is not fun!!!

Hey Bloggerettes............

Robin and I finally finished keying in the inventory adjustments today. Boy is that an "un-creative" task! You can rest assured that we will be taking a bit more care with our inventory from now on.

-all of the Bisous (Bzoo) product is in clearance
-we received the "Memento" stamp pads that are excellent for stamping and coloring with Copic Markers
-the Valentines Card Class is this week
-the "Canvas of the Month" class has taken off big time - we're glad that you love the artwork
-we are in the process of setting up a "Cricut Cartridge Library" where you will be able to sign out the cartridges for a nominal fee (maybe March)
-we are re-arranging the store to accommodate the new product that will be arriving weekly - love those fixtures on casters!!!
-who wants to go to CKU Provo in August????? please let us know - we would like to take a group of 50 this year if there is enough SERIOUS interest (we have already done a lot of leg work for this event)
-who's ready for the 7 Gypsies Photo Carousel class? el fab-u-lo-soooooo

Now for some personal messages........

-hang in there Elaine, we're thinking about you and your family
-condolences to Irene and family for their recent loss
-Lucy, it was about time you re-surfaced!
