There are a few things going on at the store that you need to know.

1. Susan is putting together a fabulous monthly workshop for "Project Life" enthusiasts. She will be posting the unique outline on Facebook:
 https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/The-Scrap-Yard/193523804007489
Check it out. Don't miss out on the most popular trend right now.  First class is February 22.
Becky Higgins started this phenomena - here is her video explaining it perfectly:  http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/2012/09/online-education-for-project-life/

2. Lynn will be teaching a new class called "Shabby Chic Boot Camp". For all of you who are apprehensive to sign up for the regular Shabby Chic classes that require a 20 week commitment, you will enjoy taking this class which will be once every 2 weeks, starting the second week in March and ending mid-June. You will get a taste of this unique scrapbooking style in a smaller format.  Don't be apprehensive - all scrapbooking levels welcome.

3. "Imagine 2.0" is happening again this year. This is an off-site weekend workshop. It is being held at the Red Deer Lake Community Hall on Hwy 22X. You will be doing 6 stunning projects taught by Susan, Lynn and Lori. Meals will be provided. No accommodation provided. All products for workshops provided. Bring your standard tool kit. Some of the projects that the girls did last year were the chunky canvas album in mixed media style, printers tray with mega ehpemera, shabby Graphic 45 box with mini album insert, Nunn Design encrusted triple wrap bracelet.......... There are a few spots left that need to be filled - maximum of 20 attendees. The cost is $399.99 - if you put a deposit of $100 down before the end of this week you will reduce the cost of the workshops to $349.99. Full payment is due on Feb 28/13. No refunds. Think Valentine's gift to yourself! Who do you love? What do you love?

4. A new class that we are in the throws of creating is: "Storage Wars" (create fun and useful things to keep your craft room neater) - it will be a monthly class.

5. Teresa Collins Designs is continuing with the monthly class kits starting again in March. Each month is a mini album made from the latest paper collection.  Sign up today - classes are on the last Friday of every month and you will be commiting to 12 classes.  Here is an example of one of the classes.

6. We are continuing the Basic Grey Page-of-the-Month classes for 2013. They will start in March - a great fun, no pressure type of layout class. Sign up today.  This class also requires a commitment to 12 classes - not a drop in class.  this is a great beginner class. The January layout is shown below.

A bunch of us are heading to "Farm Chicks" in Spokane again in June.  It is a gathering of vintage vendors peddling their wares at the fair grounds.  It happens the first weekend in June.  This year we will be looking for things to alter in classes.  Lynn thinks that an old window could be done up nicely in shabby style.  I already have 6 vintage printer drawers from last year - need a few more.  Pails, milk bottles, sewing machine drawers, crates, suitcases - FUN, fun, fun!

That's all for now!
