Tonight is "Howlers Halloween" at the mall.  Laura, from Dog Gone Healthy, is having a fun night for the canines at her store.  There are at least 4 stores in the mall that are "Dog Friendly" and will be giving out dog treats to the four-legged friends.  How cute is that!

Hey Bloggerettes, Just checking in with y'all. The Scrap Yard was invited to exhibit at the "Calgary Baby & Tot show" this past weekend. We set up a 600 square foot booth in 4 hours, had at least 3000 people go through it over the weekend and met sooooo many babies. Cute, cute, cute - not that I want one or anything! Baby names are so different now-a-days. We featured our wooden letters - Ray might be super busy in the next month if everybody who loved them comes in to order!!!!! Thanks to my friend Purcell who flew in from Victoria to help. Such a good friend! Lots of new product came in on Friday. We are attempting to get it all out on the shelves in the next few days. The big ticket item that I know arrived is the new SILHOUETTE CAMEO machine. I am anxious to try it out. Silhouette CAMEO® The Silhouette CAMEO® is an electronic cutting tool for personal use. Like a home printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12" wide and 10 feet long. The machine also has the ability to register and cut printed materials. Lynn will be teaching SHABBY CHIC BOOT CAMP starting in November. If you have always wanted to try your hand at this style of scrapbooking, then you will want to sign up for this class. The class will be once a month for 6 months. Susan has some fabulous classes planned for the next few months. She was published again in Scrapbook Trends! Yeah for Susan!!!! Hey Bloggerettes, New product arrived last week. Some fun stuff!! Lynn and I returned from our annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas/Henderson to attend the Teresa Collins "Inspiration Unlimited" event. It's nice to be the student and not the organizer for a change. We enjoyed our classes, the friends that we see every year, pool time and "ca-chinging". Nothing spectacular to report on that front :( Remember the Canadian "Bling It On Canada" event is November 15 & 16 with registration on the evening of the 14th at the Hyatt. Pictures of 2 projects Teresa will be teaching shown above - she will also be teaching a Christmas mini album. If you are planning to attend the "Calgary Baby & Tot Show" at the BMO Center Oct 13-14 you are welcome to stop by "The Scrap Yard" booth #306. FYI: We have admission discount coupons at the store. We have lots of classes planned for the next 3 months. We are busy getting them all on the website class schedule. Hey Bloggerettes, Holy cow it's been awhile since I posted on the blog. It seems easier to go on Facebook and scribe a few words. I always feel that the blog has to be a longer post. Sometimes "Pinterest" takes up my free time - OOPS! Anyway, I am having a sale tomorrow (Saturday) - 25% off your product purchases. Need to make room for some new stuff. Shout out to Mel - hope all is well. Shout out to my Page-of-the-Month girls - "Random Act of Kindness" queens. "Shabby Chic" classes are rolling along great. We have quite a few new people signed up for this session. It's so nice to hear how excited they are after each layout. I had a call yesterday from one of the students and they were so excited aboutr doing the next layout. My iPhone app (Scrapbook Inc) is going to have a new look and feel. I am expanding the manufacturer base so you won't be limited to just Ranger/Holtz products. Stay tuned - the developer has a few more things to add in and then I'm back to serious data entry. I can check it's progress/sales whenever I want and I was so excited to see someone from Australia and someone from Germany bought it!!!! Don't forget about the "Bling It On Canada" with Teresa Collins big event in mid November. Teresa is now going to teach 3 classes instead of 2 - BONUS for attendees! Register on-line. ****The hotel rooms at the Hyatt will only be available until Oct 15 at the good rate - after that they go back up to regular price. Payment is due in full the first week of October.

You speak, I listen! 2. the iPhone app that I have been developing for the past 11 months is now available for purchase in the iTune Apple Store. It is called 'Scrapbook Inc". With this app you will be able to keep track of the inventory of Ranger, Tim Holtz, Wendy Vecchi, Claudine Hellmuth, Vintaj (Ranger only), Dyan Reaveley that you own. You will also see all of the product available by the manufacturers (Ranger, Advantus, Tonic, Stampers Anonymous, Wendy Vecchi, Vintaj, Design Originals). Pictures, descriptions, links, co-ordinating product, You Tube videos, new/release dates are all at your fingertips. You can even fill a shopping cart for yourself of products you need to buy ASAP. Our kids camps are filling up. This year we are doing the wooden letters - the students get to pick a word and then spend their time painting and playing to decorate them. Some of the word requests have been so inspiring. Don't forget about the Teresa Collins Event in August - still a few spots left.
